Some promises are too good to be true. Like, "Send us $200 and we'll send you a million dollars, plus a car and a vacation to Tahiti . Trust me, I may sound Jamaican, but I work for the New York Lottery." Unfortunately that one is going around. So is "Trust us, rub these chemicals on your face twice a day and you'll look like Athena, or at least Angelina Jolie."
What they don't tell you?
"Large molecules such as collagen applied to the skin cannot penetrate and cannot reach the dermis where wrinkles originate." Source
So instead of getting rid of wrinkles, you're probably just giving yourself cancer.
But what if you could drink coffee in the morning and fight wrinkles, cellulite, stretch marks and scars, relieve joint pain, remineralize your teeth, balance your hormones, aid digestion, boost metabolism to burn fat and strengthen hair and nails? (source, source). That's quite a promise, but fortunately the research supports this one.
This is my favorite way to make coffee at home. It tastes delicious and has that thick, creamy foam on top that sticks to your lip. This recipe makes enough for two large, or three modest sized mugs.
Superfood Vanilla Latte
- 10 oz really strong, fresh coffee
- 10 oz raw milk or almond milk
- 2 tsp alcohol free vanilla
- 2 Tbsp Gelatin
- 1 Tbsp Raw coconut oil
- Raw honey to taste
- 1 tsp Ground cinnamon (optional)
Combine all ingredients into a blender and process until light and creamy. Pour into cups and sprinkle with additional ground cinnamon if desired.
